They are located near the private airstrip and are a favorite among fishermen and day-trippers to the island. Be sure to walk out on the dock and look for Florida otters playing nearby or manatees hanging out in the warm, shallow water. They also have sand volleyball, cornhole, basketball, and free fishing from the pier for kids. Lunch and dinner hours vary by season and are posted outside the restaurant.
Mangos Pool Bar is situated between The Island Club’s two pools. They offer an informal outdoor dining experience for the entire family to enjoy as well as a full array of cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. Their menu includes tacos, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, and appetizers. They are open for lunch and dinner, and take out is also available from the kitchen.
Over the Waterfront, located in Safety Harbor, is one of Florida's few remaining over the water restaurants. Their outside deck offers dining with incredible views of the bay. The menu changes seasonally to incorporate locally grown produce and features a variety of items such as fresh fish, steak, pork, chicken, and pasta. You are allowed to bring your own alcoholic beverages to enjoy with your meal. Lunch is available most days, but please call ahead. They close for a few hours between lunch and dinner service.
